Ortho-Rectification
Nowadays, all the satellite images have been recorded with coordinates having random errors. Such errors are derived from the topography, sensor itself, and instrument accuracy. The correction of the errors therefore is necessary to use such images in detailed engineering projects and in target generation.
Ortho-rectification is a process applied to the satellite images to overcome these problems. Satellite images are purified as possible from the topographical impacts, are registered in detail, harmonized with the map projection systems, resulting in accurate maps by using ortho-rectification process.
